Devanahalli

Devanahalli Fort is a stone fort built on 20 acres of land. It was first made of mud in 1501. Hyder Ali rebuilt it with stone walls in the late 1700s. The fort has 12 round watch towers that stood firm in old wars.

• Tipu Sultan Birth Site: A stone pillar marks the spot where Tipu Sultan was born in 1750. It sits 600 meters south of the fort.
